“April 14, 2012, 2:37AM - A Night with my Nightmare. We haven’t escaped the fire but we survived it. I almost ended up burned in my own room (where the fire started). But I thank God that He gave me a lot of reasons to cherish the life He gave me. Though our whole compound, clothes and everything were burned to ashes we still have one thing that’s greater than the fire who did it, it’s our God! :)” - Nice Amar Alquizar
The girl in this picture happened to be my best friend, Nice Alquizar. It was April 9, 2012 when the fire consumed their whole compound. She was in deep sleep when the acccident happened, fortunately she woke up before the fire could reach her. They had not saved anything but theirselves but I can say with full confidence that they were blessed and protected.
Despite of all the things that happened they can still manage to smile. It is one of the best character traits the Filipino has. They were optimistic despite of the adversities they face in life. A filipino culture that we should be proud of. I’m glad my friend, along with her family, proved it to me.
They truly are Filipinos. They truly came from the City that never runs out of smile. A smile that symbolizes hope. Their house and business may have turned into ashes but their hope and faith remains the same. Even stronger.
Nice: I am so gonna miss your BATCHOY! That’s the only batchoy nga na uyonan ko. HUHU. K lang, I know babalik yun. Tee? Smile lang, ‘cause when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while! Hahahaha! (Plastik, JK! Haha) Seriously, just remember my fave quote : “Let your smile change the world, don’t let the world change your smile.” Swimming nalang ta! Hahaha! Tuloy lang ang Happiness! :)

This is what I’ve been singing since 10,000 BC! Haha. Kiddo. This song is one of the latest songs of Planetshakers. It could be my Christmas Song this year, though it isn’t a christmas song. Haha. Come lend an ear, it’s worth listening :)
